Error
Message Regarding IE 6 and MapGuide Report
Issue:
Internet Explore 6 with Service Pack 1 (IE6 SP1) was released in 2002 as an updated version to enhance
advanced security issues. Unfortunately, the functionality that the ActiveX Control is invoking in
Autodesk Mapguide viewer 6 has been identified as a security risk, and therefore has been turned off in IE6 SP1.
An error message that is similar to the following occurs when you attempt to view a report or perform any functionalities in MapGuide Viewer.
Solution:
The stated problem can be solved by adding your URL to the "trusted" internet sites as follow:
- On the menu of your IE browser, click Tools and select Internet Options from the list.
- When "Internet Option" diaglog shows up, click the Security tab.
- Now, select Trusted Sites icon and then click Sites... button.
This will bring up a new dialog on your screen.
- In the "Trusted Sites" dialog, enter the URL "http://in38.plexisgroup.com" without double quotes to "Add this Web site to the zone" box
- If the "Required server verification (https:) for all sites in this zone" box is checked, click in the box to uncheck it.
- Now click Add button to add your URL to the "Web Sites" box.
- Click OK button to close "Trusted Sites" dialog.
- Click OK button to close "Internet Options" dialog.
